I’m mac jordan, female, middle aged, of Irish extraction, and I live with my husband Pete in Long Ashton, just outside Bristol (in the UK). I usually write ColdFusion code, and this is my first foray into Wordpress and PHP.

We write websites for money (well, that’s the plan), mainly to feed and clothe the six cats who live with us. I’m Treasurer and webmaster for North Somerset LibDems, I’m an LEA governor at (and absolutely not webmaster for!) Birdwell Primary School, and chair of our Village Parish Plan Steering Group. And we live with six cats, which is, frankly, not nearly enough.

To relax, I cook. Enthusiastically, if not well. I’m not in to Heston Blumenthal territory (well obviously), but I enjoy it. My favourite thing is bitsa cooking - open the fridge, see what needs eating, concoct. It’s a great plan, but of course I can rarely recreate anything, foodwise.

I also run Nibblous, a recipe sharing site; I used to keep a blog there, but have decided here is better.

I keep another blog at LiveJournal, but that’s more of a community thing. This is just food. And possibly cats. Did I mention the cats? Obviously they have a blog too.

So, this combines two of my favourite things - cooking and photography. And has the added bonus of cats. What’s not to like?!
